Using the Student Certificate Maker
How to use the certificate maker
Choose one of four designs, then edit the organization name, award title, recipient, description, date and signer names. Upload your logo if you want it on the certificate; it is processed in your browser and never uploaded. When the preview looks right, print it or download a landscape PDF in US Letter or A4. To make a set for a whole class, add more names, one per line, and each name gets its own page.
What to put on a certificate of completion
Most completion certificates include the organization name, a clear title such as Certificate of Completion, the recipient’s full name, what was completed (the course, level, session or camp, with dates if relevant), the date issued and at least one signature from an instructor or director. Keep the description to a single sentence so it stays readable from across the room.
Belt and level promotions
The belt / level design adds a rank line and a belt graphic in the color you choose. It suits martial arts belts, swim levels, music grades or any program where students move up in steps. Use the description to say what the student demonstrated to earn the promotion.
Avoid these common mistakes
Check every name against your enrollment records before printing a batch, since misspelled names are the most common reason certificates get reprinted. Print one test page to check margins and colors, print at 100% scale rather than fit to page, and use card stock if you want certificates to feel substantial.
